The Donna Project: A front and back yard makeover
BEFORE
Donna's Story...
"My husband and I were lay leaders in our church.  He served in
whatever capacity his talents could be used...music, teaching, writing.
Together we led a Couples Class and shared our lives in Marriage
Encounter.  We often reached out to those in need, as a couple.

When his enthusiasm seemed to dim, I tried to be encouraging and
strong.  When he started repeating himself, I worried he was having a
stroke and instead found he had an inoperative brain tumor.  Four
weeks later, he died and our lives changed forever.

We moved to Colorado, because a job I had recently started would
relocate me and my  Elderly parents and my big, loving family live
here.  Taking over the head of our house has certainly been a
challenge.  Because we were used to reaching out to others, it was
very difficult to be on the receiving end.  But I realized, every time I
have to go to Home Depot, I leave in tears because now I
responsible to care for the  maintenance on our house.  Some
projects have been small and I have had to ask for help with those.  I
know I can maintain landscaping, but I cannot get it started, even
though I have tried. "
Update: The Donna Project was completed Saturday ,October 4 at 4 pm!
