Meet our Board
Laurel Beck
Founder, President, and Director of Design
Laurel founded Remnant Restoration in July 2008. Originally from Modesto, CA, she attended Bible
College and design school. She has over a decade of experience as an Interior Designer as well as 15
years of experience with event planning including weddings, retreats, fundraising, and galas. Laurel and
her husband have also owned and operated businesses in the Interior Design, Fitness, and Insurance
industries.
She is married to Fred Beck, a former Youth Minister and now a Regional Marketing Director for a major
insurance company. They have a grown son and a daughter in college. When not working for the ministry,
Laurel leads a Bible study group, sponsors an Air Force Academy cadet, and runs a children's furniture
and decor business with her friend, Amy Moore. A born-again Christian, Laurel was called by God to start
this ministry six years ago. After much prayer and planning, Laurel assembled a team dedicated to
walking with her in the mission of caring for widows and orphans. Her design is to inspire others to reach
out and "look after widows and orphans in their distress". James 1:27
Amy Moore
Executive Director
A member of the founding Board of Directors, Amy accepted the position of Executive Director in August
2008. She is a Child Development Specialist with over a decade of experience in administration of Air
Force Family Member Programs and affiliate Boys and Girls Clubs. Amy holds both a B.A. in
Interdisciplinary Studies with a major in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Teaching with a major in Early
Childhood Education from the warm and sunny University of South Carolina.
She is married to Lt Colonel Jeff Moore, an Air Force fighter pilot currently stationed at the Air Force
Academy. They have three young sons, one spoiled cat, and a Golden Retriever. A born-again Christian,
Amy is dedicated to honoring God in service to others. When not working for the ministry, Amy is busy
running a children's furniture and decor business with ministry founder Laurel Beck and raising her
family. She is also an avid bowler.

Stacey Lasley
Secretary
Originally from Port Huron, MI, Stacey came to Colorado Springs with the Air Force in 1988. After serving
4 years, she separated from the military and began her married life with her husband, Matt. She has
served on the Board of Directors of High Country Home Educators Support Group and has a background
in special events coordinating and interior decorating. With a heart for children, Stacey has been a
volunteer in her home-school group for the past 7 years and with various women's ministries.
The mother of 5 children, Stacey lives in the country on 5 acres near the Rocky Mountains where she
loves bringing beauty to people and places around her through gardening and design. She has been
serving the Lord since she was a child and enjoys encouraging others in their spiritual journeys.
Fred Beck
Chair, Ministry Advisory Committee
Married to ministry founder, Laurel Beck, Fred joined Remnant Restoration in August 2008 with over 20
years of experience in the financial and insurance industries. Originally from Escalon, CA, Fred attended
college at University of Phoenix and Berean School of the Bible before serving six years as a Youth
Minister. A Certified Retirement Planning Consultant and Life Underwriter Training Council Finalist, Fred
is currently a Regional Director for a major insurance company.
An avid outdoorsman, Fred enjoys mountain biking, fishing, and snow skiing. He is also a Certified
Rescue Diver and has many years of experience in construction and carpentry.
